Any idea why my 2018 Honda Odyssey sliding door won’t open?
I’ve never had any problems with my minivan before, but suddenly my 2018 Honda Odyssey’s sliding door won’t open. It was working fine this morning, but after running several errands we got home and now it seems stuck. What could cause it to break?

If your 2018 Honda Odyssey sliding door won’t open, the first thing we need to check isthe little toggle switch next to the two power sliding door buttons. If that toggle is in the down position, the buttons are all locked and the sliding doors aren’t going to budge. Simplyflip this switch up and see if the buttons work now.
If that didn’t help, the power sliding door might not close properly, despite looking fully closed. So to begin,try pressing and holding both power sliding door buttons. Give it a moment, and see if the doors close fully. If they do, try opening and closing them again. There’s a good chance this just fixed the issue for you.
If it hasn’t been fixed, we’ll need to try this next:turn the switch labeled as “Main” to the “off” position and then manually open and close the doors by hand. Move that “Main” switch back to the “on” position and try the power sliding doors again.
One of these suggestions should have helped. If they haven’t, you’ll unfortunately need to bring your Honda Odyssey in for a visit with a mechanic.
